Job Summary
Description
- Operates and maintains forklift truck to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Transports material in between departments.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers
- Maintain a steady flow of material through the yard.
- Oversee the condition of the entire yard all roads and pipe racks.
- Communicate and coordinate with previous shift driver and relief driver. Proper and thorough turn-over.
- Know the Beaumont yard layout.
- Know proper marking and identification of pipe.
- Return tools to proper places at the end of each shift.
- Perform preoperational checks on forklifts and report all service concerns.
- Know and adhere to proper moving and handling procedures of XL Systems products.
- Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the grounds through regular inspection and maintenance.
- Ensure company equipment and material is maintained kept clean and stored in a safe manner.
- Performs preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and machinery
- Complete required paperwork reporting and other documentation as required
- Read gauges dials and other indicators adjusting them is necessary.
- Troubleshoot heavy equipment; ability to detect and fix operating problems.
- Ability to lead a team in the absence of Material Control Manager.
- Perform all tasks and duties in harmony with other employees to create and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance of the companys QHSE policies and corporate code and overall companys objectives
