JOB SUMARY
Operates forklift to move load and unload materialand palletsthroughout the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Comply withWestlakeSafety Policies
Regular attendancetimelinessand scheduling flexibility
Operate forklift within the safetyguidelines.
Unload incoming materialand palletsby placing it in the properarea.
Regulate shipping documentsaccordingly.
Verify counts andmaintainloadsheets.
Understand quality standards equipment and manufacturingprocesses.
KNOWLEDGESKILLSAND ABILITIES
Ability touse simple math and read tape measureaccurately.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)preferred.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentpreferred.
Prior forklift experiencepreferred.
Forklift certification
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKENVIRONMENT
The employee shouldpossessthe ability to:
Prolongsitting.
Complete repetitive movements such as typing.
Be exposed to sounds or noise levels thatmaybeuncomfortable.
Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearingvisionand hardhat protection) when in plant.
Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to move or traverse about the facilities.
Must be able to ascend/descend stairs orladders.
Ability to work around dust chemicals and other substances and in various environmentalcondition.
