Forensic Nursing Program Manager

The Forensic Nursing Program Manager is responsible for the strategic operational clinical educational and regulatory oversight of the hospital-based Forensic Nursing Program. The manager provides leadership for forensic nursing services involving victims of sexual assault domestic violence strangulation child abuse elder/adult vulnerable adult abuse human trafficking interpersonal violence and other forensic patient populations.

The manager ensures the delivery of evidence-based trauma-informed care while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations accreditation standards and forensic best practices. Responsibilities include program development staff supervision quality improvement evidence management community collaboration legislative advocacy education and oversight of forensic nurse examiner services.

This position serves as the primary liaison between the hospital law enforcement agencies child and adult protective services prosecutors advocacy organizations regulatory agencies and community partners.

Required Licensure Certification On-going Training:

Current Registered Nurse license in Maryland or compact state licensure eligible for Maryland practice.

Forensic Nurse Examiner Adult/Adolescent (FNE-A) certification required

Current BLS certification.

Preferred:

Forensic Nurse Examiner Pediatric (FNE-P) certification preferred.

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Adult/Adolescent (SANE-A) certification.

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Pediatric (SANE-P) certification.

Advanced forensic nursing certifications as applicable.

Work Experience:

Minimum five (5) years of clinical nursing experience.

Minimum three (2) years of forensic nursing experience required.

Previous leadership supervisory program management or coordinator experience preferred.

Experience working with victims of violence abuse sexual assault and human trafficking required.

Salary Range: Minimum 43.61/hour - Maximum 67.59/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
