Location: Multiple Texas markets including North Texas Central Texas and the Gulf Coast

Salary: $30.00 - $48.00 per hour

Role Overview

The Foreman leads and supervises a crew to safely and efficiently execute mechanical piping plumbing or sheet metal work in the field. This role schedules and coordinates daily activities provides hands-on leadership and ensures productivity quality and safety standards are met. The Foreman works alongside the crew while setting the standards for workmanship morale and jobsite safety and serves as a liaison between field teams management and clients.

At the General Foreman level the role oversees multiple foremen and crews on assigned projects sets production expectations across crews allocates labor and equipment where the schedule demands it and develops foremen and journeymen into the next level of leadership.

This role may be filled at varying levels including Foreman and General Foreman based on the candidates skills experience and overall qualifications. Final title level and compensation will be determined through the interview and assessment process and will be aligned with internal equity and external market benchmarks. Openings exist across multiple Texas markets and market preference is discussed during the interview process.

Core Responsibilities

• Run a safe jobsite: lead weekly toolbox talks ensure Task Hazard Analysis is performed and recorded daily participate in safety and incident investigations and keep the work area clean and organized
• Lead and develop the crew: orient new members assess competency assign individual and crew tasks set work standards and coordinate on-the-job training and mentoring for apprentices
• Perform related craftwork alongside the crew
• Plan and sequence daily and weekly work so the crew meets production goals and adjust task schedules to hold the production schedule
• Verify tools and materials are staged and complete and advise the superintendent of equipment and material shortages
• Identify deficiencies in the plan or schedule and resolve or escalate scheduling conflicts with other crews and trades
• Inspect completed work against job specifications plans and blueprints and drive timely resolution of any problems
• Maintain the foremans log daily timekeeping records and production and quality reporting for the superintendent
• Recommend personnel actions such as hiring promotions and discipline
• At the General Foreman level direct multiple foremen and crews allocate labor and equipment where the schedule demands it hold foremen accountable for quality and safety on their crews and develop foremen and journeymen into the next level of leadership

Required Background

• High school degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a qualified tradesperson in mechanical piping plumbing or sheet metal work
• OSHA-30 certification or the ability to obtain it within six months from date of hire
• Knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures
• Familiarity with other construction trades and crafts
• This role is available to candidates located near our active Texas locations and sites including Dallas Carrollton Fort Worth Haltom City Temple Pflugerville and Houston
• Prior experience as a Foreman for candidates being considered at the General Foreman level (Preferred)
• Experience directing multiple crews or foremen on a single project (Preferred)
• Experience across more than one of the mechanical piping plumbing and sheet metal trades (Preferred)
• Hyperscale data center hospital life sciences or high-rise commercial project experience (Preferred)
• Experience supporting prefabrication and modular construction delivery (Preferred)
• Bilingual English and Spanish (Preferred)
