Job Summary
- Lead and supervise sheet metal installation crews on commercial HVAC construction projects.
- Plan and coordinate daily work activities to meet project schedules productivity goals and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints specifications shop drawings and coordination documents.
- Coordinate manpower equipment material deliveries and subcontractors with the Superintendent and Project Manager.
- Mentor train and develop apprentices and installers while promoting a strong team culture.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project specifications SMACNA standards company expectations and applicable codes.
- Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce all company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Communicate project progress field challenges manpower needs and schedule impacts with project leadership.
- Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining production and minimizing delays.
- Perform quality inspections complete punch list items and support project closeout activities.
- Maintain accurate daily reports labor tracking and field documentation.
- Foster a culture of accountability craftsmanship teamwork and continuous improvement.
- 7 years of commercial HVAC sheet metal installation experience.
- Previous experience leading crews as a Lead Installer Foreman or similar field leadership role.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and HVAC plans.
- Working knowledge of SMACNA standards and commercial HVAC installation practices.
- Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities while maintaining quality and productivity.
- Valid drivers license with a good driving record.
- Own basic hand tools required for the trade.
- Reliable professional safety-focused and committed to delivering quality workmanship.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday 40 hours per week with overtime and occasional weekends as project needs require.
