ROLE OVERVIEW:
This is a seasonal position you can use your winters off to travel hunt fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year round.
This position is responsible to safely supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in concrete construction and efficiently run the operation to produce quality material in a timely manner. Travel required throughout our state operation. Will need to display a professional and courteous attitude with customers and team members.
DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)
- Perform daily equipment inspections walk-arounds and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained and repaired.
- Coordinate the daily activities of workers; assists with supervision crews engaged in preparing and applying concrete.
- Oversee and coordinate concrete pouring finishing and curing activities to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications.
- Ensure all tools equipment and formwork are properly set up operated and maintained for safe and efficient concrete operations.
- Monitor concrete quality and consistency verifying mix designs and placement meet required standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues on-site including equipment malfunctions or material inconsistencies and coordinate repairs when necessary.
- Prepare and submit daily production reports timecards and safety documentation accurately and on time.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to maintain compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Manage inventory of materials tools and supplies needed for concrete work and coordinate timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with project managers site supervisors and other team members.
- Operate and maintain concrete construction tools and equipment including concrete saws jackhammers and other related machinery
- Coach and monitor team members and sites to comply with OSHA and safety regulations and assist in training new employees.
- May coordinate concrete sample testing and documentation for quality assurance and compliance with specifications.
- Approve and submit work hours of personnel and pertinent job information daily.
- Ensure compliance with MSHA OSHA EPA DNR safety and environmental regulations.
- Always work safely and take action to prevent any and all unsafe actions processes and behaviors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITITES (types and extent of knowledge skills or abilities an incumbent must possess to complete the job responsibilities satisfactorily)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office (Word Excel Outlook).
- Able to work independently and under time constraints.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational experience or other relevant job requirements)
- Minimum 5 years experience in product line
- Ability to hold and maintain proper licensure and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including overtime possible nights and some Saturdays.
