Description:

Job Title: Food Service Production Rep (Cook)

Employment Type: Part Time

Shift: - Rotating - 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (with every other weekend rotation)

Location: Holy Cross Germantown Hospital Germantown Maryland

Position Purpose:

  • The Food Service Production Rep (Cook) prepares specified items by following recipes and culinary standards set by the chef and retail manager

As a Food Service Production Rep (Cook) you will:

  • Operate safely and effectively industrial kitchen equipment when needed and using appropriate culinary tools in a safe manner.

  • Consistently keeps the department in a way that meets and exceeds all state county and regulatory agency compliance.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

  • Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have or be pursuing high school diploma or equivalent four years of work-related experience.

  • Ability to use culinary tools such as knives mixers ovens steamers kettles and slicers

  • Food Safety and sanitation knowledge

  • Ability to read and follow recipes written in English

  • Ability to add and subtract numbers

  • Have or pursuing high school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to read write speak and follow oral and written instructions in English

Preferred:

  • Retail cook restaurant experience

Pay Range: $17.65 - $22.71

Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
