Job Summary
Performs a variety of food service duties to support the safe preparation assembly and delivery of meals for patients visitors and staff.Ensures a clean efficient and customer-focused environment while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Assemble and deliver patient meal trays accurately and efficiently
- Set up stock and maintain tray line cafeteria and kitchen stations
- Prepare basic food items for meal service and support kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas equipment and service stations
- Operate dish machines handle waste removal and perform general sanitation tasks
- Clean and reset stations equipment and floors after meal service
- Monitor supplies and report shortages or concerns to supervisors
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to customer needs promptly
- Support department goals related to service quality and operational efficiency
- Assist with training and cross-training of team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong customer service skills with a positive and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to read menus and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to follow safety sanitation and HACCP guidelines
- Ability to push carts and transport food and supplies
Additional Job Details (if applicable)
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior food service experience preferred
- Onsite role in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Requires standing walking and physical activity throughout the shift
- Schedule includes rotating shifts evenings and weekends
