Food Service Worker

Responsibilities:

• Help patients choose meals that match their dietary needs and preferences.
• Assemble and deliver meal trays accurately and on time.
• Take and monitor food temperatures; report issues promptly.
• Pick up trays from patient rooms courteously.
• Stock and clean food areas and pantries.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment safely.
• Set up and serve food in cafeteria and catering settings.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow sanitation and safety procedures (HACCP infection control etc.).
• Transport food carts and supplies safely throughout the facility.
• Follow all hospital department and safety policies.
• Communicate patient concerns to the right staff.
• Handle waste and recyclables properly.
• Complete required logs reports and cleaning schedules on time.
• Participate in meetings and staff training.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior food service experience.
• Ability to follow simple instructions and safety guidelines.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and be physically active (standing walking etc.).
