Food Service Worker - University of Rochester

Location:Rochester NY

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Datrose is hiring Food Service Workers to support food service operations at the University of Rochester.

Food Service Workers help keep daily food service operations running smoothly by preparing and serving food maintaining clean and sanitary work areas and providing courteous service to patients customers visitors and staff.

What Youll Do

As a Food Service Worker your responsibilities may include:

Set up food and beverage stations for service
Serve food according to established portioning and service standards
Assist with basic food preparation including salads desserts vegetables beverages and other items
Portion wrap label rotate and properly store food
Set up and maintain condiment beverage salad dessert and hot food areas
Prepare patient trays and check trays for accuracy before delivery
Replenish food beverages condiments and supplies as needed
Clean and sanitize tables counters equipment utensils carts and food preparation areas
Operate equipment such as dishwashers microwaves grills toasters beverage dispensers food carts and related food service equipment
Push or pull food carts and transporters as needed
Follow established sanitation food safety housekeeping and workplace safety procedures
Report equipment or safety concerns to your supervisor
Occasionally assist as a cashier including handling payments and making change
Assist with other food service duties as needed

Willingness to maintain high standards of cleanliness sanitation and food safety
Ability to work in a busy food service environment
