Food Service Worker, On-call as needed (Pittsburgh Area Schools)

The AVI Foodsystems operation within the Pittsburgh Area Schools is immediately hiring friendly service-oriented people to join our team. This position is on-call as needed filling the Food Service Worker role that will work when staff are needed. A great way to earn extra money! This position will work where needed/as needed on-call @ $20.00/hr in the Pittsburgh School District.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly stores food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Set up stations with entres soups salads breads condiments other food products and utensils
• Interact with guests in the serving retail and dining areas
• Follow proper guest service procedures whenever interacting with others by smiling making eye contact and greeting guests
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment following all client and regulatory rules and procedures
• Maintain a fast pace and ability to multitask when performing duties
• Perform any other duties as specified by management
• Willing to drive to different locations within a 60 minute radius
• No reimbursement for gas mileage or drive time

Requirements:

• Previous food service experience preferred
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate with other team members and other departments with professionalism and respect
• Maintain a professional relationship with all team members vendor representatives supervisors managers customers and client representatives
