Shift: Part-time; 6:30 AM - 3 PM; Rotating weekends & holidays
This is a temp to hire position.
TheFood Service Workerprovides safetimely andaccuratepreparation assembly delivery and clean-up of meals and food items for patients residents and guests. The Cook position is responsible for the preparation and cooking of food for hospital patients associates and visitors. Maintains a clean workstation and uses recipes and temperature logs to ensure quality and safety standards are met.role supports quality care and customer satisfaction by following department procedures food safety and sanitation guidelines and customer service standards.

- Prepare assemble and deliver patient trays snacks and nourishments per diet specifications
- Serve patients guests and cafeteria customers with excellent customer service
- Followportioncontrol cash handling and regulatory standards (HIPAA OSHA TJC)
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment including cleaning and sanitizing dishes utensils equipment and carts
- Stock patient units retail areas and storage rooms and monitor food and equipment temperatures
- Cooks/prepares all foods according to standardized recipes paying close attention to details such as pan sizes cut sizes times and temperatures.
Education:
- Preferred:High School Diploma/GED
Experience:
- Food Handler Certification SERVSAFEupon hire
- IA/IL Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing care required within90 daysof hire.
- IA/IL Adult Dependent Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training in state(s) where providing Care required within90 daysof hire.
- 6 to 12 months of cooking experience in a healthcare or restaurant setting preferred
