Food Service Aide Substitutes

Summary:
The Food Service Aide Substitute will be responsible for assisting with the preparation serving and clean-up of meals in a food service setting. They will work under the supervision of a food service manager or chef to ensure that all meals are prepared and served according to established standards.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of meals including chopping vegetables preparing salads and cooking basic dishes
- Serve meals to customers in a cafeteria or dining room setting
- Assist with cleaning dishes utensils and kitchen equipment
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment including wiping down counters sweeping floors and disposing of trash
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines including wearing appropriate protective gear and using proper food handling techniques
- Assist with inventory management including ordering supplies and stocking shelves
- Provide excellent customer service to all patrons including answering questions and addressing concerns

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a food service setting preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Familiarity with basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines for food handling and preparation.

Wage:

$13.61 hour
