Position Overview

TheFood&BeverageServer provides attentive knowledgeable and courteous service to guests in the hotels dining outlets lounges and other service areas. This roleis responsiblefortaking orders serving food and beverages ensuring guest satisfaction andmaintainingservice standards. The Food Server plays a key role in enhancingthe guestdining experience within a full-service hotel environment.

WhatYoullDo

Guest Service & Hospitality

• Greet guests promptly and warmly providing a welcoming and professional dining experience.
• Present menus answer questions and make thoughtful recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Takeaccuratefood and beverage orders and enter them efficiently into the POS system.
• Deliver food and beverages according to hotel service standards ensuring accuracy and presentation.

Table Service & Dining Room Support

• Monitortables throughout service toanticipateguest needs refill beverages and clear used items.
• Coordinate with food runners and expeditors to ensuretimelydelivery of dishes and proper pacing.
• Assistin resetting tables quickly andmaintaininga clean organized dining room.
• Support service inadditionaldining outlets when needed including lounges and outdoor seating areas.

Upselling & Menu Knowledge

• Maintainthorough knowledge of all menus specials beverages wine lists and promotions.
• Utilizesuggestive selling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and increase revenue.
• Communicate allergen information and dietary accommodations accurately.

Cash Handling & POS Responsibilities

• Prepare and present guest checks promptly and accurately.
• Process payments through the POS system following standard procedures.
• Reconcile assigned cash banks when applicable and follow all cash handling policies.

Safety Sanitation & Cleanliness

• Follow all food safety hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Keep service areas stations and dining areas clean organized and fully stocked.
• Report any safety hazards maintenance issues or spillsimmediatelyto management.
• Adhere to proper alcohol service guidelines including TABC compliance.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with bartenders hosts food runners bussers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service flow.
• Participatein pre-shift meetings and communicate key updates specials and guest needs.
• Assistcoworkers when needed tomaintainsmooth operations during peak periods.
• Support banquet and event service whenrequired.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assistwith opening and closing side work including stocking cleaning and organizing supplies.
• Maintainprofessional appearance and follow all grooming and uniform standards.
• Perform otherduties asassigned to support Food & Beverage operations.
• Maintainreliable and consistent attendance as an essential function of the role.

WhatYoullBring

Required Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Education & Experience

• PreviousFood & Beverage orcustomer service experiencepreferred.
• Experience in a full-service restaurant hotel dining room or fast-paced service environment preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems and wine/spirits knowledge preferred.
• Hospitality-related coursework or training preferred.

• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
