Required:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
3. Honesty
4. Cooperate and get along with others
5. Basic math aptitude
6. Work as a member of a team

Desirable:

1. Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions
2. Ability to work without supervision
3. Ability to accept change

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of a Foodhandler include but are not limited to the following

1. Prepares and serves food
2. Maintains food supply inventories
3. Stores and properly labels all unused food supplies and plans to utilize unused food at earliest opportunity
4. Maintains the service table with an adequate amount of food at the proper temperature throughout serving time
5. Complies with the recommendations of the Health Department
6. Cleans equipment and service area
7. Insures that equipment is turned off an storerooms coolers and freezers are secured at the end of the day
8. Understands and maintains the academic and behavioral standards set for the students by the Building Principal
9. Notifies the lunchroom manager of any discrepancies in deliveries or equipment problems
10. Performs other duties as assigned
