Job Summary
Job Title: Food and Beverage Manager
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager / General Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt / Exempt (depending on company policy)
The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the restaurant bar and/or banquet services ensuring guest satisfaction maintaining service standards and supporting the food and beverage team. This role assists in scheduling training inventory management and enforcing company policies and procedures.
Supervise daily operations of the food and beverage outlets ensuring efficient and high-quality service.
Train coach and support team members in service standards and company procedures.
Assist with scheduling and labor management to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to complaints or service issues promptly and professionally.
Maintain cleanliness organization and compliance with health and safety standards.
Oversee cash handling and point-of-sale operations to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Support the implementation of promotions events and seasonal menus in coordination with culinary and marketing teams.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies and managing costs.
Participate in daily briefings and relay information to the team effectively.
Assist with onboarding and training of new hires.
High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
1-3 years of experience in food and beverage with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills (Excel Word Outlook).
Qualifications
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Lift and carry up to 2550 pounds.
Work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays as needed.
