Job Summary
Ready to make a lasting impact in our community The La Crosse Area Family YMCA is seeking a passionate and innovative leader to help address nutrition and food insecurity through meaningful programs strong community partnerships and mission-driven leadership. As the full-time Food Access Director you will play a key role in ensuring individuals and families throughout our community have access to healthy food and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for YMCA Food Access Programs including:
- Mobile Market Food Pantry
- USDA Reimbursed Food Programs
- Community Outreach Meal Programs
- Mobile Market Food Pantry
- Build and sustain partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
- Oversee program operations staff leadership budgeting and food service activities.
- Collaborate with YMCA Community Outreach teams including Community Health Workers School Age Care Youth Center Mental Health and Early Childhood programs.
- Identify opportunities to expand services and increase community impact.
Requirements
2 years of related experience Passion for addressing nutrition and food insecurity Strong leadership communication and relationship-building skills Food program management experience preferred Leadership/supervisory Program development Community relations and partnership-building experience a plus
