Baystate Health is seeking a Follow Up Nurse to join our Emergency Department at Baystate Medical Center Springfield Massachusetts. Our Emergency Department has diverse pathologies and acuity as we serve over 122000 adult and pediatric patients annually. Our 72000 square foot ED is equipped with 94 private rooms separate pediatric ED separate behavioral health rooms and top-of-the-line technology. BMC is a major referral care center and the only Level 1 trauma center and pediatric trauma center in the area.

The Registered Nurse role offers the opportunity for meaningful impact while supporting patients serving the community and collaborating with a specialized team.

The Follow Up Nurse Will:

• The Follow-Up Nurse will report directly to the Director of Emergency Services with a collaborative relationship with the Emergency Department Supervisors and will be responsible for the clinical follow-up high risk contact and customer service component for those patients seen in the Emergency Department who meet the criteria for the Follow-Up Program.

Required Qualifications

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.

• Education: ADN required; BSN preferred.

• 5 years of nursing experience within the Emergency Department
