- Position: School Audiologist (Short-term FMLA coverage)
- Location: School district near Detroit Michigan
- Assignment Dates: 8/31 11/24 (12-week maternity leave coverage)
- Compensation: $59 $62/hour (with travel stipends)
- Caseload: Support Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students across the district
- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform audiological assessments and DHH evaluations for students
- Collaborate with clinical audiologists and ENT providers for medical documentation
- Assist families with clinical follow-up and recommendations
- Interpret and communicate evaluation results to teachers parents and staff
- Consult with support staff and families regarding educational impact of hearing loss
- Participate in Early On Team for DHH birth-to-age-3 population including home visits
- Attend school meetings and participate in educational planning for DHH students
- Work Environment: Inclusive supportive school district; contract staff included in meetings and decision-making
- Interview Process: Prescreen video interview before meeting hiring manager
- Qualifications:
- Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Masters Degree in Audiology
- Valid Michigan Audiology License
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)
- Preferred: 3 5 years experience in pediatric and/or educational audiology
