Floral Manager

Position Summary

The Floral Manager leads the Floral Department to deliver fresh high-quality arrangements visually appealing displays and exceptional customer service. This role is responsible for driving sales managing inventory and developing a skilled team while maintaining high standards for creativity presentation and freshness.

Key Responsibilities Department Operations

• Oversee daily floral operations including ordering design production and inventory control
• Ensure product freshness proper handling and minimal shrink through effective rotation and care
• Create attractive seasonal and promotional displays to drive impulse sales
• Maintain full clean and visually appealing cases tables and displays

Customer Experience

• Deliver outstanding service by assisting customers with floral selections custom arrangements and special orders
• Provide creative recommendations for events holidays and occasions
• Ensure the department maintains a welcoming and visually engaging shopping environment

Team Leadership & Development

• Hire train and develop floral associates and designers
• Provide coaching on floral design techniques product knowledge and customer service
• Create schedules aligned with business needs and seasonal demand
• Promote teamwork creativity and accountability within the department

Financial Performance

• Drive sales through effective merchandising promotions and upselling opportunities
• Manage expenses including inventory shrink and labor to meet department goals
• Monitor key metrics such as sales margin and waste reduction

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure proper handling storage and care of all floral products
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all prep and sales areas
• Follow company policies and safety standards including equipment use and chemical handling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous floral retail or management experience preferred
• Knowledge of floral design products and care techniques
• Strong leadership communication and creative skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced seasonal environment

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing bending and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in refrigerated and backroom environments
• Use of floral tools and equipment
