Floor Techcian NASA Glenn Research Center

Primary Duties:

• Operates various types of equipment used for floor care maintenance such as automatic scrubbers floor machines and wet/dry vacuums

• Performs preventative maintenance checks on all equipment prior to use

• Provides floor care including buffing and burnishing on hard surfaces

• Provides floor maintenance including but not limited to stripping waxing buffing shampooing bonneting and extracting carpets

• Move furniture and other heavy objects

• Comply with all safety requirements and procedures at all times

• Perform other cleaning duties as specified by management

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to comply with and pass a federal background check as required by the contract

• Submit and pass a pre-employment drug screen

• Have a valid drivers license

• Personal vehicle with current insurance coverage

• Must be able to physically move through the worksite

• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

• Must be able to stand for long periods as well as stoop squat lift carry and push

• Must wear protective equipment such as latex gloves and safety glasses according to OSHA regulations.

• Ability to work independently

• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
