Job Summary
Carle Health is seeking a dedicated Floor Care Technician to join our Environmental Services team on our evening this role you will be responsible for maintaining all types of flooring surfacesincluding carpet vinyl rubber and ceramicin accordance with established departmental standards and procedures. Your work plays a vital role in ensuring a clean safe and welcoming environment for patients visitors and staff.
- Clean maintain and restore flooring surfaces using approved methods and equipment
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of carpets including extraction and spot treatment
- Strip wax buff and polish hard floors (vinyl rubber ceramic etc.)
- Operate floor care equipment such as buffers scrubbers and extractors safely and effectively
- Follow infection prevention and safety protocols at all times
- Maintain equipment and ensure proper storage and care of tools and supplies
- Respond promptly to service requests and address spills or hazards as needed
- Adhere to Environmental Services policies and standard operating procedures
- Previous floor care or environmental services experience preferred
- Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and time management skills
- Ability to lift push and maneuver equipment and supplies
- Frequent standing walking bending and lifting
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment
