Qualifications & Education

  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a clinical setting. At least 1 year of pediatric RN experience preferably in a home care or private duty setting

  • Demonstrated competency with:

    • G-tubes feeding tubes

    • Trach

    • Vent

    • Seizure management

    • Diabetes care

    • Cardiac conditions

  • Strong clinical judgment communication skills and professionalism

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments

Key Responsibilities

  • Float between assigned schools and/or patients based on company needs

  • Must be willing to drive anywhere on Long Island- for example: New Hyde Park to Miller Place

  • Provide one-on-one nursing care for individual students as required

  • Support school-sponsored activities including:

    • Field trips

    • Organized school event days

  • Deliver safe high-quality nursing care in accordance with care plans physician orders and school policies

  • Assist with onboarding training and shadowing of RNs requesting first-visit support

  • Maintain accurate documentation and clear communication with families schools and internal teams

  • Uphold all safety compliance and professional standards

  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to stand walk and work for extended periods

  • Capability to meet the physical demands of school and clinical environments
