About the Role
The Float Pool RN will support various clinical departments based on operational needs while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. This role requires strong clinical knowledge adaptability and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
Deliver direct patient care across multiple assigned units and specialties
Assess monitor and evaluate patient conditions while identifying changes requiring intervention
Administer medications treatments and therapies in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
Develop and implement individualized care plans to support patient recovery and well-being
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care
Communicate significant patient status changes and clinical concerns to appropriate providers
Maintain accurate timely and thorough patient documentation
Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans medications and discharge instructions
Promote patient safety quality care and compliance with established clinical protocols
Adapt to varying patient populations workflows and unit-specific practices while maintaining continuity of care
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility for licensure
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or ability to obtain
Previous acute care nursing experience preferred
Strong assessment critical-thinking and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and changing environments
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
