The Boeing Company is looking for a Flight Test Quality Manager to join our 2nd shift team in Patuxent River MD. This role will lead the quality team in support of the MQ-25 flight test program.

Travel will be required up to 25% of the time.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage employees who evaluate and ensure that products services and processes comply with customer contract requirements engineering requirements company procedures and government regulations

  • Develops and executes business plans policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance

  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System

  • May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies

  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners suppliers and direct reports

  • Manages develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader temp manager large scale cross functional project/program management or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course Exploring Leadership.

  • 3 years of experience with flight line operations

  • 3 years of experience with Quality Assurance specifications and requirements

  • 3 years of experience in Maintenance Planning Operations

  • 3 years of experience documenting corrective actions and non-conformance

  • 1 years of experience leading or managing cross functional teams

  • Able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associates degree or higher

  • Have an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License or an FAA Repairmans certificate

  • 5 years of experience working in flight line operations

  • 5 years of experience leading or managing cross functional teams

  • 3 years of experience with release of aircraft for flight
