The Boeing CompanyWe are seeking a Flight Test Engineering Manager to join the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team supporting the Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) portfolio in Oklahoma City OK.
In this role you will lead the team responsible for planning integrating and executing flight test and system test activities for Boeings Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) programs. This role combines technical leadership program execution and people development requiring a leader who can build high-performing teams foster collaboration across engineering disciplines and drive disciplined test execution in a dynamic environment. You will partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver safe efficient and high-quality test outcomes while developing the next generation of flight test engineers.

Position Responsibilities:
Develop and coach a diverse team of engineers and mission systems operators by providing technical guidance performance management mentoring and career development
Lead the planning integration and execution of lab ground and flight tests while ensuring compliance with engineering processes and customer requirements
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive integrated program execution resolve technical challenges and deliver high-quality test outcomes
Manage staffing resource planning workload balancing and Earned Value Management (EVM) to meet current and future business needs
Identify assess develop and mitigate technical schedule and program risks while enabling timely data-driven decisions and disciplined execution throughout the test program lifecycle
Provide guidance support and approval of technical approaches and processes while driving opportunities for continuous improvement and increased operational effectiveness
Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at Oklahoma City OK.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
This position requires ability to obtain program access for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader temp manager large scale cross functional project/program management or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course Exploring Leadership
Experience in developmental certification or operational test environments (ground test flight test or integrated test campaigns)
Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) program execution or Integrated Scheduling
Experience with Systems Engineering processes
Willing and able to travel 30% of the time both internationally and domestically
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working on the Airborne Warning and Control Systems (AWACS)
Experience leading engineering teams technical teams or integrated product teams
Experience with military commercial or derivative aircraft flight test programs
Experience developing test strategies test plans and certification or verification approaches
Masters degree in Engineering Aerospace Systems Engineering Business
