Job Summary
Position Summary:The Flexo Assistant supports the Flexographic Operator in the day-to-day operation of the press. This role is responsible for assisting with machine functions quality checks and changeovers while maintaining a safe and clean work Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Machine OperationControl all functions of the Martin Automatic Rewind operating panelControl all functions of the conveyor systemRemove finished rolls from rewind onto the conveyor systemInsert core plugs into coresWrap rolls as requiredPlace headers on rolls as requiredTag completed rollsApply web direction arrows correctly (23 inches from core or centered on header if applied)Exchange core plug carts and header carts when lowProduction SupportAssist in dye testingSupport machine changeovers including:Changing print sleevesChanging anilox rollsChanging doctor blades and end sealsCleaning mixersReturning ink from previous jobsStaging printing sleeves in designated areasLoading ink buckets onto ink pumpsPreparing rewind for upcoming jobs (correct core size taped and ready)General ResponsibilitiesMaintain a clean and organized work areaReplenish supplies as neededAssist in cleaning the press and surrounding areaFollow all safety and quality standardsQualifications:Strong work ethicWillingness to learn and take directionReliable attendanceAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment
