Responsibilities of Security Officers include but are not limited to:

• Officers must be attentive approachable and capable of enforcing policies while delivering excellent customer service to guests staff and vendors.
• This is a high-visibility physically demanding customer-facing role in a fast-paced public environment.
• Maintain clear accurate administrative logs at front desk pertaining to people or property including packages.
• Control access for tenants visitors or vendors as required
• Enforce museum rules and policies in a professional customer-service-oriented manner
• Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
• Respond to incidents including emergencies at the property and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
• Provide a visible security presence throughout the museum
• Rotate between assigned posts as needed

Required Qualifications of Security Officers:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work all shifts.
• 1 year of security customer service or public-facing experience preferred
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) including state accredited training requirements
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read write speak and understand English
• Willingness to work all posts and flexible schedules
• Experience in museums hospitals retail centers or high-traffic public venues
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job which can include lifting 50 lbs. completing foot patrols walking up and down stairs working in inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications of Security Officers:
Bi-lingual considered a plus.
Evening overnight and weekend availability required

Pay and Benefits of Security Officers:
Positions starting at $19.50-$22.00 per hour
