Fleet Technician II Colorado Springs

In this position you will be working in the Colorado Springs Support Services department on fire apparatus heavy equipment light duty trucks and a variety of passenger vehicles to support the Fire Department operations. The Fire Departments fleet includes powertrains by Cummins Ford and others to a lesser extent. You will be required to perform inspections run diagnostics order parts and perform repairs.
This position is subject to budget required furloughs to be implemented in the 2026 calendar year.

As a Fleet Technician II you will:
Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and vehicles
Inspect diagnose and isolate defective missing or malfunctioning components of mechanical hydraulic fueling electrical and pneumatic systems
Identify record and source parts
Coordinate service writing and parts acquisition with supervisor
Use software to initiate record and track fleet work
Other duties as assigned.
