Job Summary
Full-time benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
The Fleet Support/Medicaid Transportation Specialist plays a vital role in supporting Compass Healths Medicaid Transportation program and agency-wide fleet operations. This position ensures individuals can access essential services in a timely safe manner while staff have dependable vehicles to carry out their daily responsibilities. Through strong coordination organization and attention to detail this role helps advance our mission to Inspire Hope. Promote Wellness. in the rural communities we serve.
- Coordinate daily transportation schedules to ensure timely efficient service delivery
- Support drivers in meeting scheduling and service expectations
- Prepare accurate billing documentation for approved transportation services
- Maintain contingency documentation processes during vendor portal outages
- Monitor compliance with vehicle maintenance guidelines
- Provide client transportation services as needed
- Maintain and update internal fleet records and external fleet management/WEX systems
- Process annual Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checks for authorized drivers
- Manage fleet-related communications and shared email accounts
- Track electronic vehicle logs to ensure compliance and accurate reporting
- Serve as Chief Car Captain supporting and training site-based Car Captains
- Facilitate Car Captain transitions and assignment updates
- Conduct vehicle usage and location audits to ensure accountability
- Order issue and monitor WEX fuel cards for proper use and compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned
High School/GED preferred
QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
At least one (1) year of administrative work experience preferred
A valid unrestricted drivers license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
- Are highly organized and comfortable managing schedules documentation and compliance details
- Communicate clearly and professionally with staff drivers and community members
- Adapt quickly to changing needs and can pivot when transportation demands shift
- Take pride in maintaining accurate records and supporting operational efficiency
- Value teamwork and understand the impact safe reliable transportation has on access to care
- Are motivated by contributing to meaningful work that strengthens access to healthcare in rural communities
