Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is looking for a this role you will be responsible for the repairs on all Shambaugh & Son cars trucks and equipment. They will do this by maintaining a clean and orderly environment while exercising all safety rules at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles.
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results.
  • Replacing vehicle engines steering mechanisms transmissions and braking systems.
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems.
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks.
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist.
  • Maintaining a parts inventory.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
  • Report to garage manager when not knowledgeable of certain problems.
  • Coordinate and work in harmony with all Shambaugh & Son personnel.
  • Prompt and accurate completion of work orders in a legible manner.
  • Check all vehicles and equipment in yard for past due service.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience as an automotive technician.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification is a plus.
  • Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
  • Valid drivers license is required.
  • Works well independently and with others.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Regular and reliable attendance including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required.
