Are you the person your friends call when something breaks Have you spent years maintaining trucks trailers or fleet vehicles - whether on the job or in your own garage Were looking for an experienced hands-on technician to join our fleet team.

This isnt a shop job - its a field-based travel role. Youll be on the road up to 50% of the time heading out to our fleet locations and properties to inspect maintain and repair trucks and trailers where they are. Youll also need to be comfortable on a computer since youll be documenting inspections and repairs through our fleet software while youre out in the field.

Were looking for someone whos already comfortable diagnosing and fixing vehicle issues especially on trailers without a lot of hand-holding. If youve got real mechanical experience and a sharp eye for detail well get you up to speed fast on our specific tools and systems.

What Youll Do:

Youll work alongside our fleet team to keep our trucks and trailers running smoothly - and safely. These vehicles are on the road every day so the work you do directly affects driver safety and DOT compliance. Youll bring the mechanical know-how; well get you fluent in our specific tools and processes:

• Track truck inspections and repairs using our fleet software (Fleetio)
• Perform maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers including trailer-specific repairs (brakes electrical lighting structural):
  • Replace lights on vehicles
  • Repair minor issues on trailers
  • Check and inspect tires
  • Install and troubleshoot GPS tracking units (Samsara)
  • Ensure safety equipment is working properly
  • Test vehicle operations
• Coordinate with our operations team to schedule maintenance
• Drive trucks to and from repair shops when needed
• Travel to fleet locations and properties across our markets (up to 50% travel all paid) to perform inspections maintenance and repairs
• Monitor and report on maintenance projects
• Maintain our preventive maintenance program
• Partner with fleet managers to track vehicle recalls and ensure DOT compliance

Who Were Looking For:

• You have hands-on experience repairing and maintaining trucks trailers or fleet vehicles - through professional work extensive personal/DIY mechanical work or some mix of both including trailer repair (brakes electrical structural)
• You can diagnose and fix common vehicle issues without needing to be walked through it
• Youre willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time - this is a field role not a fixed shop position
• Youre comfortable on a computer - youll be documenting inspections and repairs through our fleet software (Fleetio) and GPS units (Samsara) while in the field
• You pay attention to details and take pride in doing things right
• Youre a self-starter who can work independently
• You have a valid Drivers License with a clean driving record and can pass an MVR (driving record) check
• Youre able to pass a DOT medical certification exam and a pre-employment drug screening
• High School Diploma or GED

What Makes You Stand Out:

• You have experience towing and maneuvering a trailer - personal (boat camper utility trailer etc.) or professional
• Youve worked on trucks trailers or other commercial fleet vehicles specifically
• You hold ASE certifications or similar credentials
• Youre familiar with fleet management or telematics software (Fleetio Samsara or similar)
• You like solving problems and troubleshooting issues
