Job Summary
Fleet Logistics Manager
Role Overview
Oversees fleet operations to ensure safe efficient and cost-effective transportation. Responsible for dispatch planning vehicle shipments driver coordination vendor management and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily dispatch routing scheduling and vehicle assignments
- Coordinate vehicle shipments and third-party drivers
- Monitor fleet performance delivery timelines and logistics costs
- Maintain accurate records (shipments costs repairs incidents compliance)
- Ensure safety standards and transportation regulations are followed
- Lead and support logistics staff (hiring onboarding training scheduling)
- Work with internal teams on planning budgeting and operations alignment
- Manage external vendors (transport repair fuel upfit services)
- Improve processes SOPs and operational efficiency using data and systems
Required Qualifications
- 35 years in fleet logistics transportation or operations
- Leadership and strong communication skills
- Knowledge of safety and transportation compliance
- Experience with GPS telematics or dispatch systems
- Strong analytical and cost-control abilities
- Valid drivers license
