Fitness Instructor (Part Time Year Round)

Job SummaryCertified Personal Trainers at the Peak Fitness Center provide personal training services and special programming for our guests and employees. Trainers promote an overall healthy lifestyle and support clients with achieving their personal wellness goals. Trainers will work with Wellness team and support Peak and Crystal Spa operations with ability to work as a reception desk associate as needed. Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintain a personal commitment to meeting the needs of guests and a client specific exercise program for every training offer high quality programming that is goal specific safe and market and promote personal training to acquire new clients members and retain existing clients and in development and implementation of Peak programs and all daily desk operations including reservations cash transactions answering multi-line phone system and speaking to guests in person as familiarity with resort information such as Peak classes recreation activities holiday events and other and organize Peak reception area and assist with general Peak upkeep during shift to include folding towels refilling water as resource and example for wellness a professional positive and motivational atmosphere in sessions and in current market trends and developing wellness science to suggest updates and modification to training sessions classes programming and and demonstrate a safe and effective exercise program for guests of the fitness center in collaboration with the professional standards among clients. These standards include: punctuality proper attire and the creation and maintenance of a friendly safe and motivating training and teaching training session information per procedure and track the progress of guidance in proper exercise technique and variations of exercises to meet guests in establishing effective fitness/wellness goals and develop the most effective training plan to achieve those all required all mandatory staff meetings including continuing education guest and client confidentiality with particular attention to issues related to health history or current status secure all associated health records per HIPPA duties as assigned. Job SpecificationsCompetencies:Personal training certified with ACSM ACE ISSA NSCA or NASM AED and First Aid knowledge of exercise physiology kinesiology and understanding of all exercise equipment and proper of injury prevention and communication skills and ability to instruct and independently with minimal and coaching specific to analyze interpret and present data in various office employee and company confidentiality at all and meets professional conduct and adherence to company Core :Bachelors degree in related field & Other Requirements:While performing the duties of this Job the employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger handle or feel and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk and reach with hands and employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
