Fitness Instructor

Job Overview:

The Fitness Instructor is a part-time position located at the Civic Center 5 Ashlawn Ave Montgomery IL Ogden Point 201 Ogden Falls Blvd Oswego and/or Boulder Point 0 Boulder Hill Pass Montgomery IL. This position reports to the Recreation Supervisor Fitness.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ability to organize people workout room equipment and supplies to successfully instruct a fitness class.
• 
  Ability to create fitness class choreography and progression throughout the session.
• Ability to modify class for participants based on individual abilities and restrictions.
• Teach and motivate participants by being informative positive and enthusiastic.
• Positively communicate with fitness participants.
• Meet deadlines on availability forms and other administrative requests.
• Assist in marketing and promoting fitness program.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Preferred certification in Group Exercise with ACE AFFA ACM or similar accreditation and/or experience of at least two years as a Fitness Instructor.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member of the fitness staff.
• Cycle/Spin TRX/Suspension Training or Boxing/Kickboxing certification and experience a plus.

Hours:

Daytime evening and weekends. Friday and Sunday morning availability a plus.

Rate:
$21-$26/hour DOE
