Job Summary
This position serves as the Fiscal Services Manager for theMaryland Office of Administrative Hearings (OAH). OAH is an independent unitwithin the executive branch of State government created to centralize andimprove Marylands administrative hearing process at a reduced cost to itscitizens. Our mission is to provide due process for any person or businessaffected by the actions or proposed actions of State agencies in a prompt andefficient manner.
This is a Management Service position.
Current and former State employees who meet the minimum and preferred qualifications are encouraged to apply. Experience with FMIS and Workday are highly desirable.
Position functions as the Fiscal Services Manager for responsibilities include budget preparation review analysis andsupport as well as budget monitoring and closing; budget expenditure andappropriation control; maintaining agencys working fund and operating account;oversees the accounts receivable process; responsible for OAHs payroll andtimekeeping process; serves as the Purchasing Card Program Administrator; andsupervision of fiscal services staff members within OAH.
This position requires knowledge and experience in generalaccounting payroll FMIS Workday and statistical analysis and reporting.
EDUCATION: Possession of a bachelors degree in accounting businessfinance or related field.
EXPERIENCE: Five years of progressively responsibleexperience in government budgeting fiscal/accounting workpayroll/timekeeping and statistical analysis and reporting.
Preference will be given to applicants with at least 3 yearsof experience using FMIS Workday and associated regulations and procedures; compliancewith MD State Comptrollers accounting regulations and procedures; as well asyear-end close-out procedures.
