Job Summary
Location: Greer SC
Pay: Up to $25/hour DOE
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Project Duration: 6 Months
Start Date: Approximately 2 weeks
Skillforce is hiring Firewatch personnel for an industrial construction project in Greer SC. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment during welding and hot work operations. Candidates with prior industrial or construction site experience are preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor welding and hot work areas for fire hazards
- Ensure fire extinguishers and safety equipment remain accessible
- Maintain constant watch during active welding operations
- Communicate hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors immediately
- Assist with maintaining clean and organized work areas
- Follow all OSHA and site safety regulations
- Support welders and pipe crews as needed
Requirements:
- Previous construction or industrial site experience preferred
- OSHA 10 certification required
- Ability to remain alert and safety-focused throughout shift
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
