Job Summary
The Fire Safety Specialist supports the Universitys Fire Safety Program as an inspector. The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the Universitys fire alarm testing program; conduct required review and inspections of buildings in an assigned zone of campus to ensure compliance with applicable local state and federal codes and regulations; respond to fires and hazardous materials incidents on campus; and work with faculty staff students and other stakeholders to ensure the safety of the campus community.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday (primarily business hours). Nights weekends and/or holidays may be required should business needs dictate (for example occasional night and weekend work assignments at special University events). Position is Adverse Weather Emergency Event & Communicable Disease Mandatory On-site Primary.
