Fire Alarm Technician (GFPFANVA-1)

A growing fire protection company is seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join its team in Norfolk VA. This opportunity is ideal for a technician with experience inspecting troubleshooting servicing and repairing commercial fire alarm systems who is looking for a stable company with strong earning potential and long-term growth opportunities.

• Test inspect troubleshoot and service fire alarm systems in commercial facilities
• Respond to service calls and diagnose fire alarm system malfunctions
• Repair replace and adjust fire alarm equipment as needed
• Perform inspections in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and service documentation
• Communicate findings and recommendations with customers
• Maintain service records tickets and required paperwork
• Participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on fire alarm experience
• Valid drivers license
• Working knowledge of fire alarm inspection testing and service procedures
• Experience with one or more of the following systems:
  • Simplex
  • Notifier
  • Fire-Lite

• NICET certification
• Advanced fire alarm diagnostics and repair experience
• Experience with special hazard suppression systems including FM-200 and Halon
