Finishing Business Unit Mgr

About the role

The Greenfield IN site is hiring a Finishing Business Unit this role you will direct multiple shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role requires continuous coordination of production-related activities workforce planning employee relations and effective communication in order to meet production quality and cost objectives leading the day-to-day Coating/Finishing operations. As a member of the Plant Leadership Team you will act as a mentor and coach for front line supervisors.

Key Responsibilities

This is an on-site position located in Greenfield IN.

• Lead coordinate and assist in day-to-day operations ensuring effective communication establishing annual manufacturing budgets and analyzing cost variances to put corrective action plans in place.

• Manage Shift Managers across Coating Finishing Shipping and Material Handling in the implementation and administration of company policies participating in plant leadership team meetings to align goals.

• Support the development and implementation of Safety Quality Service Productivity Cost and Continuous Improvement/ELS initiatives.

• Mentor and coach direct reports promote collaborative workforce relationships and support performance management SMART objective setting and employee development.

• Act as safety champion by providing leadership through modeling appropriate behavior conducting accident investigations and supporting return-to-work restrictions in coordination with Occupational Health.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required.

• 6 years of Operations/Manufacturing experience with 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience preferred.

• Demonstrated successful experience in leading and managing individuals and teams in a team-based organization.

• Working knowledge of modern manufacturing material flow and improvement strategies (e.g. ELS continuous flow cellular) with the ability to integrate them into operations.

• Demonstrated understanding of financial systems key drivers within the manufacturing environment and strong organizational skills in strategy communication at all levels and execution.
