Fine Arts Teacher (Pre K 8)

The Fine Arts Teacher is responsible for planning implementing and assessing engaging fine arts instruction that promotes creativity artistic expression and student achievement. The teacher creates a positive learning environment that supports the academic social and emotional growth of all students while aligning instruction with state standards and school expectations.

• Develop and deliver high-quality lessons in fine arts including visual arts music theater or other assigned disciplines.
• Foster creativity critical thinking and artistic appreciation among students.
• Design lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles and student needs.
• Maintain a safe organized and productive classroom environment.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback.
• Integrate technology and innovative instructional strategies into the curriculum.
• Prepare students for performances exhibitions competitions and special events as appropriate.
• Collaborate with administrators teachers parents and community members to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance grades and student performance.
• Participate in professional development staff meetings and school activities.
• Support school initiatives policies and procedures.

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas teaching certification in Fine Arts or applicable content area.
• Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and state assessment requirements.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students families and colleagues.
• Experience teaching fine arts at the assigned grade level preferred.

• Knowledge of fine arts curriculum and instructional best practices.
• Ability to motivate and engage students through creative learning experiences.
• Strong organizational planning and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional learning community.

• Ability to stand walk bend and move throughout the instructional day.
• Ability to lift and carry instructional materials and equipment as needed.
• Ability to supervise students in classroom and performance settings.

• Promote student achievement and artistic growth.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor.
