A premier global law firm is seeking a Financial Restructuring & Reorganization Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing debtors creditors lenders private equity sponsors investors and other stakeholders in sophisticated restructuring bankruptcy and insolvency matters.

24 years of restructuring bankruptcy insolvency or financial restructuring experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

Experience handling business reorganizations out-of-court restructurings Chapter 11 proceedings and bankruptcy-related litigation

Experience representing debtors secured and unsecured creditors lenders private equity sponsors distressed investors official committees or other stakeholders

Experience drafting and negotiating restructuring support agreements forbearance agreements financing documents bankruptcy pleadings motions and related restructuring documents

Experience appearing before U.S. Bankruptcy Courts and assisting with contested matters adversary proceedings and other bankruptcy litigation is preferred

Experience supporting distressed mergers & acquisitions asset sales under Section 363 debtor-in-possession financings and exit financings is a plus

Strong legal research drafting analytical negotiation and communication skills

Ability to independently manage sophisticated restructuring matters while maintaining significant client interaction

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
