Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Reporting Supervisor to lead the Companys monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting processes ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP company policies and corporate requirements. This role oversees key accounting activities including period-end close fixed assets audits budgeting and forecasting support and internal controls. The ideal candidate will provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to management global reporting and key internal stakeholders to support informed business decisions and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.

Idemitsu is seeking a detail-oriented financial professional with strong technical accounting expertise and a commitment to accurate timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a collaborative self-motivated leader who can strengthen reporting processes support effective internal controls and provide meaningful financial insights that help drive informed business decisions.
What youll be doing (a Day in the Life):
Lead monthly quarterly and annual financial close and reporting processes ensuring timely and accurate results in accordance with U.S. GAAP and corporate requirements.
Supervise coach and develop accounting team members while managing priorities reviewing work and ensuring departmental objectives and deadlines are achieved.
Prepare and analyze financial reports forecasts budgets and variance analyses to provide management and key stakeholders with actionable financial insights.
Coordinate audit compliance cash management and fixed asset accounting activities while maintaining strong internal controls and accurate financial records.
Partner with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting and reporting processes improve efficiency and accuracy strengthen controls and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What youll need to be successful:
Education & Accounting Experience Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required with at least five years of progressive accounting experience including financial close U.S. GAAP financial reporting audits and internal controls.
Leadership Experience Minimum of two years of supervisory or team leadership experience with demonstrated ability to coach develop and motivate accounting professionals while promoting accountability and collaboration.
Technical & Systems Expertise Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP financial statement preparation reconciliations and financial analysis along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ERP system experience; SAP experience is preferred.
Analytical & Organizational Skills Proven ability to analyze complex accounting issues exercise sound professional judgment manage multiple priorities and consistently meet accelerated reporting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
Communication & Collaboration Excellent communication project management and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships support stakeholders lead process improvements and effectively manage change.
