Role Overview:
The Financial Reporting Associate assists with corporate accounting consolidations financial reporting and internal control compliance functions. Creates and interprets financial information statements and reports.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Record classify and summarize financial transactions in accordance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Assist with preparing project company financial statements and disclosures from trial balances and system-generated reports making adjusting entries as needed
- Assist with preparing financial statements including balance sheets income statements cash flow statements and footnotes
- Support external audits of prepared statements
- Input and analyze data in corporate consolidation system (Magnitude)
- Analyze allocate and explain balance sheet movements in accordance with predefined parameters
- Interact with the EDP consolidations team to ensure proper account-mapping and presentation
- Generate account analyses and roll-forwards and consolidates schedules from other groups in the Accounting team to facilitate preparation of cash-flow statements and audit support
- Assist with accounting for tax advantaged partnership structure
- Assist with monthly managerial reporting
- Respond to requests from internal groups and other ad-hoc requests associated with assigned consolidations and areas

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- 5 years progressively responsible related experience; public accounting experience and experience with a consolidations package preferred
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
- Understanding of Microsoft products and/or complementing products preferred.
- Competency in Analytical Problem Solving Strong Communication Customer/Partner Relationships and Technology Expertise preferred

Physical demands & working conditions:
- Sitting/Standing/Flexibility: Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment
- Speech/Reading: Ability to speak read and write English proficiently and deliver a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal diagram or schedule form
- Lifting: Ability to lift items weighing up to 10 pounds
- Vision/Hearing: Ability to understand a variety of instructions furnished in written verbal diagram or schedule form
- Safety: Ability to understand and communicate safety precautions when necessary
