Job Summary

The Financial Analyst at 111 Sign Inc will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team by analyzing production costs job profitability pricing budgets and forecasts specific to the printing industry. This role will involve working closely with operations sales and production teams to track material costs (such as paper ink and substrates) press utilization labor costs and margins in order to provide insights that drive pricing strategy and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze job costing data to determine profitability by client product line and press run
  • Track and report on raw material costs (paper ink plates substrates) and monitor price fluctuations affecting margins
  • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial reports including variance analysis against budget and forecast
  • Partner with production and operations teams to analyze press utilization waste/spoilage rates and labor efficiency
  • Support pricing and quoting decisions by modeling cost structures new and existing print jobs
  • Develop and maintain financial models for capital expenditures (e.g. new press equipment finishing equipment)
  • Assist with annual budgeting and rolling forecasts
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as gross margin by job type overhead absorption and equipment ROI
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement production scheduling and inventory management
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analysis and reporting for senior leadership
  • Support month-end close processes including accruals and account reconciliations related to production costs

Qualifications:

  • 12 years of experience in financial analysis cost accounting or FP&A (manufacturing or printing industry experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of job costing / process costing
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP financial modeling); experience with Power BI or similar tools a plus
  • Experience with ERP/MIS systems commonly used in printing (e.g. EFI PrintVis Avanti Tharstern) is a strong plus
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and standard cost accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
