Financial Analyst II, NACF

Your work will directly inform VP-level decisions that affect hundreds of millions in operating costs.

This role goes beyond standard finance work. You will build and maintain complex financial models write SQL to pull and validate data from systems like Redshift and the Ops Finance Data Lake and translate technical analysis into operational recommendations for senior leaders. Key job responsibilities
- Own end-to-end contribution profit reporting across Retail and Fulfilled by Amazon (FBA) channels for the US Non-Sort network ensuring accuracy through proactive auditing and data reconciliation
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models to support profitability initiatives scenario analysis and operational planning cycles translating complex data into defensible narratives for Director and VP-level audiences
- Write SQL queries independently to extract validate and reconcile data from Redshift DataCentral Workbench and the Ops Finance Data Lake identifying discrepancies and root causes before they reach leadership
- Partner with Operations teams to investigate cost variances understand volume shifts and translate financial insights into actionable recommendations that improve network profitability
- Lead continuous improvement projects to automate reporting processes and build scalable mechanisms that enhance controllership participating in the development of AI-assisted finance workflows

A day in the life
You might start by pulling a data cut from Redshift to investigate a cost variance flagged in the prior weeks review reconcile the numbers identify the driver and draft a narrative for leadership. Mid-morning could be a standing sync with your manager to walk through close status or discuss an open item from the monthly business review the afternoon you might refine a profitability model or work with an Operations Product Manager to understand an unexpected volume shift in the data. During planning cycles the pace intensifies with scenario analysis and leadership materials. Outside those cycles recurring deliverables like variance reports and cost center updates anchor your time with real white space to pursue strategic deep dives and initiative analyses that go beyond the monthly close.

About the team
The US Non-Sort Finance team is a small high-trust group within Worldwide Operations Finance supporting one of the most complex nodes in Amazons fulfillment network: non-sortable facilities that handle oversized bulky and high-value inventory. Led by a Finance Manager with deep roots in supply chain and operations finance the team gives analysts real accountability over distinct workstreams not just support roles. You will work alongside peers who are building automation tools running strategic deep dives and owning high-visibility goal tracking at the VP level.

This is a team that moves with urgency holds each other to high standards and invests genuinely in growth. Weekly one-on-ones are the norm and development conversations are substantive. The team is at an inflection point as the business works to improve profitability across the large-format fulfillment network and your analysis will inform real decisions on cost structures channel economics and margin optimization. You will be stretched but you will have the support to succeed.

- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4 years of identifying leading and executing opportunities to improve automate standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence

- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
