Financial Analyst, Amazon Ads Finance- AI Infrastructure

Amazon Advertising is seeking a Financial Analyst to join the finance team supporting Ads AI Core Infrastructure (ACI) the organization building the foundational AI and machine learning infrastructure powering the next generation of Amazon Ads. This is a unique opportunity to be at the intersection of finance and AI supporting one of the most strategically visible teams within Amazon.

As a Financial Analyst you will partner with business and finance leaders to build financial models automate reporting and planning processes and deliver actionable insights that support decision-making for a high-growth engineering organization. Youll play a key role in streamlining operations through phased short-term and long-term automation initiatives directly contributing to cost optimization and infrastructure scaling goals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and technology where your analytical skills will help drive measurable impact across planning reporting and controllership.



Key job responsibilities
- Partner with stakeholders to develop automated solutions that streamline reporting and planning processes for AI infrastructure finance
- Build and maintain financial reports and operational models that inform business decision-making including inference cost forecasting for compute infrastructure
- Extract and analyze complex financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness cross-checking against multiple sources to maintain the highest standards
- Implement process improvements and automation initiatives to reduce defects enhance controllership and scale team capabilities with measurable results
- Support OP1/OP2 planning cycles including financial modeling and narrative inputs
- Assist in variance analysis month-end close activities and weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting of financial performance

A day in the life
Youll start your day reviewing financial data and identifying automation opportunities that can enhance our planning processes. Throughout the day youll collaborate closely with engineering leaders and cross-functional finance teams to develop solutions that streamline reporting workflows. Youll dive deep into infrastructure cost metrics building models and reports that provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making. Your work directly impacts how we forecast compute costs optimize infrastructure spend and scale our operations through innovative technology solutions.

We are a collaborative finance team committed to driving the success of Amazon Ads AI infrastructure investments. We work closely across engineering product and finance teams to deliver comprehensive financial strategies that power the next generation of advertising technology.

- 1 years of finance experience
- 2 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Economics or a highly analytical field (e.g. Engineering Math and Computer Science)
- Knowledge of standard software including Excel Access Oracle Essbase SQL and VBA skills
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning forecasting and reporting

- 2 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience in TM1 Data Warehouse and SQL

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
