JOB TITLE: Financial Accountant
Description:
The Financial Accountantis responsible formaintainingaccuratefinancial records by performing routine accounting functions including journal entries account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance. This role ensures accounting information is current and supports the controller and accounting team in meeting reporting and compliance requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform bank reconciliations journal entries and general ledger account analysis to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assistwith month-end and year-end close processes by preparing supporting schedules and documentation
Calculate and record taxes owed as needed
Maintain and update accounting records within established systems andin accordance withcompany policies
Support compliance filings andassistwith external audit preparation
Identifyand communicate discrepancies or unusual activity to senior accounting staff
Other duties or projects administrative or otherwise as assigned
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Foundational knowledge of accounting principles practices and financial reporting
Basic understanding of accounting-related software including Microsoft Dynamics and Excel
Works effectively in a high-pressure environment and is detail oriented
Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Education and Certificates:
Bachelors degree in Accountingor related field
Previousaccounting experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work requiringlifting upto 10lbs
Repetitive motion associated withoperatinga computer and other office equipment
