A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Finance Transactions Associate Attorney to join its Chicago office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing lenders borrowers private equity sponsors and other financial institutions in sophisticated commercial finance transactions.

46 years of commercial finance banking or secured lending experience gained at a law firm

Experience representing lenders borrowers private equity sponsors and/or financial institutions in sophisticated financing transactions

Experience handling secured lending transactions syndicated credit facilities acquisition financings and other commercial finance matters

Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements security documents intercreditor agreements and related financing documentation

Working knowledge of Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code and secured lending concepts

Experience managing transaction workstreams and coordinating with clients opposing counsel and other advisors

Strong drafting negotiation analytical and communication skills

Ability to work directly with clients and assume significant responsibility

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Illinois bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Sophisticated national finance platform

Representation of premier lenders borrowers and private equity sponsors

Exposure to complex secured lending and acquisition financing transactions

Significant client interaction and responsibility

Strong mentorship and professional development
