Garg Consulting Services Inc. is a growing civil engineering consulting firm delivering transportation infrastructure projects across the Northeast. We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead accounting operations and financial strategy partnering closely with the COO and CEO to support business growth and operational excellence. This role blends hands-on financial leadership with strategic partnership in a fast-paced project-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting operations: general ledger AP/AR payroll benefits tax and month-end close
• Prepare and oversee monthly quarterly and annual financial statements (GAAP)
• Manage budgeting forecasting cash flow and financial performance reporting
• Deliver executive dashboards KPIs and actionable financial insights
• Oversee payroll processing payroll tax compliance and employee benefits administration
• Ensure compliance with federal state and local tax and regulatory requirements
• Lead external audits and CPA coordination
• Implement financial controls policies and process improvements
• Partner with CEO & COO on strategic planning growth initiatives and capital investments
• Utilize Deltek Ajera accounting software for project-based financial management

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA CMA or MBA strongly preferred)
• 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• 5 years in senior accounting leadership (Controller Director Senior Manager)
• 3 years leading accounting teams
• Expertise in GAAP payroll tax compliance budgeting forecasting and financial reporting
• Experience in project-based accounting (civil engineering construction consulting preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills; Deltek Ajera experience strongly preferred
